¡Hola! Mi nombre es Ayca, soy de Turquía y ahora vivo en Galicia como voluntaria de un proyecto SVE.
Cuando al principio me comunicaron que había sido seleccionada por Xeración, he sido muy feliz de entrar a formar parte de esta familia.
Mi proyecto en Narón durará 6 meses y esta es mi primera visita a España.
Lo primero que me llamó la atención fueron los chistes de la lluvia,
Eso porque aquí llueve repentinamente y luego se para, después de 15 minutos está lloviendo otra vez y se detiene, una y otra vez de nuevo 🙂 Es la razón porque todo es verde y el aire es tan fresco. Todos es conectado y es maravilloso!
También quiero hablar de la gente y de la forma de vida en Galicia.
Todas las personas que viven aquí son muy habladoras, amables y divertidas.
Hay períodos de descanso llamados «siesta» y todas las tiendas, los bancos, las cafeterías y este tipo de lugares están cerrados en este momento. Es una cosa muy interesante para mí, ya que en Turquía no tenemos esto.
Otro “choque cultural” para mí fue que cuando tengo que cruzar el paso de cebra y todos los coches paran para dejarme pasar y creo que este es un comportamiento muy educado.
Las calles aquí son muy limpias y se pueden encontrar contenedores de reciclaje en todas partes.
Además quiero hablar de la belleza natural de la Galicia. Esta región cuenta con una gran cantidad de playas y lugares verdes que tuvimos la oportunidad de ver durante el fin de semana. Fue una experiencia maravillosa.
Si deseas concentrarte en tí mismo mientras escuchas los sonidos de las olas en la naturaleza, debes venir aquí!
En mi asociación organizamos una gran cantidad de eventos culturales, pero hasta ahora la experiencia más emocionante para mí fue cuando hablamos por radio local, Fran fue mi traductor, ya que todavía no hablo español , pero de todos modos fue emocionante! 🙂
Yo vivo con 4 compañeros de piso y el último fin de semana hemos preparado todos juntos la cena para nuestros amigos y fue muy agradable.
Tienes que venir aquí sin perder más tiempo y formar parte de esta familia !! 🙂

Hi! My name is Ayca and I came from Turkey to Galicia as a EVS volunteer.
First of all, when I heard that I had been selected by Xeracion and I was very happy to become a part of this family.
I arrived in Naron at the beginning of march and I will live here for 6 months. This is my first visit to Spain. The first thing that caught my attention was the rain´s jokes.
I said rain´s joke because it is suddenly raining and then stop – after 15 min it is raining again and stop. again and again 🙂 It`s reason why everywhere is green and the air is so fresh. Everything is connected and it’s wonderful !!
I want to talk about people and the way of life in Galicia.
All the people that live in here are very talkative, friendly and funny.
There are rest periods called «siesta». And all of the shops, banks,cafes and this kind of places are closed in this time. It is a very interesting thing for me, because in Turkey we don’t have this.
Another “cultural shock” for me was that when I have to cross on the zebra crossing and all cars stop to let me pass and I think that this is a very polite behavior.
The streets here are very clean and you can find recycling bins everywhere.
I want to mention the natural beauty of the Galicia too. Galicia has a lot of beaches and green places and we had the opportunity to see them during the weekend. It was a wonderful experience.
