Luis
Although Luis has already turned 76, he is considered one of the most active citizens of Ferrol. Luis has been full of ideas that not only came to fruition, but are still being practiced today.
Montse
As a worker in the social field, Montse very well knows the challenges that immigrants face on their way to full inclusion in Spanish society. But she also points out that in many cases, for example in the labor market, the problems of immigrants are even greater than those of Spanish citizens.
Sarath
Having spent the last few years in Europe, Sarath has gained a deep insight into Western culture, so different from the one which she grew up in. Although he loves the deep relationships between people and the kindness of people in India, he also appreciates some aspects of the western way of life.
Olga
Being born on the African continent as a European citizen is perhaps what has made Olga so open and respectful of different cultures. With a clear mission in mind, she continues to learn and spread the message of respect and understanding towards immigrants.
Mbacke
Serigne Mbacke arrived in Spain 15 years ago with just his three Senegalese friends. He himself now works in contstruction, directs the Senegalese Association of Ferrol and has just become a father. The beginning was anything but easy: a new language, new customs, new challenges, but also new opportunities.
Fran
Fran's journey started in Ferrol, continued through different parts of Europe and ended in the place where it all started with a completely new attitude and vision. Today, his organization invites people from all over Europe and turns global values into local actions.
Vanessa
Vanessa donned her colorful African dress for Tabaski's Islamic holiday – Celebration of Sacrifice. Although her husband is from Senegal, they both agreed to share different customs that vary between their countries. In fact, for as long as she can remember, Vanessa has always tried to look for similarities rather than differences.
